Educational Technology

Educational Technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using and managing appropriate technological processes and resources. The term educational technology is often referred with, and encompasses instructional theory and learning theory. Instructional theory covers the processes and system of learning and instruction, educational technology includes other system used in the processes of developing human capability. Educational Technology includes the use of internet, computer, and software but actually they are needed.
Educational Technology is most simple and efficient tool that helps in advancing student learning. Educational Technology relies on a broad definition of the word "technology". Technology can refer to material objects of use to humanity, such as machines or hardware, but it can also encompass broader themes, including systems, methods of organization, and techniques. Some modern tools include but are not limited to overhead projectors, laptop computers, and calculators. Newer tools such as "smart phones" and games (both online and offline) are beginning to draw serious attention for their learning potential.
The goal of information technology can help to create an education system that is based on principal of helping teachers in very effective way, improving the quality of education and making a quantifiable and measurable progress towards the use of new technology like internet, television etc. Teacher can use multimedia technology to give more colorful, stimulating lectures. Computers can used to stimulate and develop writing skills, collaborate with the people in the other country, do any number of research and do complex kind of problem solving that would otherwise be impossible.
